This is for my friend, Valerie, who died peacefully this morning.
We met in the French Literature group and became friends only about six months ago: a few pub lunches, my visits to her house when she became unwell and a couple of hospital visits.
Valerie spent a part of her life in Australia and told me she missed the sunshine. I hope she would have approved of this bright rose.
So sorry Hazel for the loss of your dear friend......we miss them so much when they are no longer with us specially in later life when children have flown & our friends take a bigger part in our lives. She will be approving of this rise!
Hazel, so sorry to hear of the passing of such a good friend of yours. I'm sure she loves the rose you chose to pay tribute to her. She was lucky to have such a good friend in you.
Some people come into our lives for only a short time but they leave a lifetime of memories. I'm sure your Aussie friend would certainly love this rose you have chosen for her as it represents the colours of a warm Australia that she obviously missed. Virtual hugs across the ocean to you Hazel - you're in my thoughts.
Oh Hazel I am so sorry to hear of the loss of your friend. Such a sad day. I am sure you made her final months a happy time and she will have valued your friendship, you are a true friend.
A lovely tribute and such a gorgeous photo.
