"Will you still need me, will you still feed me...."
Ray jokingly said these lines a couple of days ago and so I looked for more:
"When I get older losing my hair,
Many years from now,
Will you still be sending me a valentine
Birthday greetings bottle of wine?"
"I could be handy mending a fuse
When your lights have gone.
You can knit a sweater by the fireside
Sunday mornings go for a ride.
Doing the garden, digging the weeds,
Who could ask for more?
Will you still need me, will you still feed me,
When I'm sixty-four?"
(Lennon/McCartney)
- yep, all of that is fine by me except can I 'pass' on the knitting.
On Google, I came across a book called:
'Will You Still Need Me, Will You Still Feed Me, When I'm 84?' - perhaps more appropriate nowadays!
A small and belated September update for 2024, where I am still, after many years' membership, on 365 Project, also now posting elsewhere but wanting...
Many congrats to you all.
