I saw this in the garden of The Red House, where William Morris lived from 1860 to 1865 (more of that tomorrow if it interests you).
Neither Ray nor I had seen this flower before so any suggestions welcomed. It was growing on a bush and some green buds had black colouring on them.

I'm posting this for you, Lynda, as you said you like blue flowers. I think it's quite a rare colour for a flower and I remembered this one taken on a trip to The Red House, so it comes to you with all my best. x
