red and green

When I saw the words for December, I just had to skip straight to the word for 12th as I acquired my Christmas poinsettia the day before. I like the way the red and green often mingle in the bracts and leaves. My last year's poinsettia is still alive, with lots of new leaves but just green as I decided I would not be disciplined enough to put it somewhere dark each night and remember to bring it into the daylight each morning.
