Yesterday I took Jinks and my camera in the car to Bishops Waltham to have a walk in a different setting. As we passed the church I noticed a head each side of the stone entrance archway. I thought this one very handsome but have been unable to find out who he was. The church, St Peter's, was founded by Henri de Blois, Bishop of Winchester in the 12th century and grandson of William the Conqueror. Henri was a wealthy and powerful man who was responsible for several projects which are now part of our fabulous local heritage.
Taken in colour and converted to b&w on Picasa with the facility to use a colour filter - I used dark green.
