I watched a lot of robins flit and fly around this tree this afternoon. I finally figured out that they were eating the berries from the pokeberry that had grown up among the branches. I managed to get a couple of shots of one of the robins trying hard to get a berry.
@cejaanderson Thank you Jane. It really did work hard. That was the third or fourth try while I was trying to catch. @tosee Thank you Tom. I appreciate your kind words. @lindamp5 Thank you so much Linda @digitalrn They've been scarce. They must be flying south. Funny how some years they seem to skip areas. @craftymeg Thank you Margaret @pyrrhula Thank you. For me they're hard to shoot because they're usually in a grassy place rather than in my yard. They don't go to the feeders and only occasionally use my bird bath. Plus they don't stay long. They stop on their way north and again on their way back south.
@confectioner Thank you Marilyn. The purples are the pokeberries. Really a weed but we just left them grow where they were. I thought maybe some birds might like them and they're pretty, too.
