I have to agree with that. While the strawberries I put in my yogurt this morning were not as plump and full as the ones I bought in August, they were still tasty and a pleasure to have for breakfast.
I quite agree! Funnily enough a guy called Vasco who worked all his life in London and also has a house here in Lucignana, Tuscany, brought a cox apple tree out with him some years ago and I've tasted some of the fruit. It's like being back in the UK again!
@tosee Thanks Tom @thewatersphotos Thank you Gary @will_wooderson Thanks Will. I'm not familiar with that apple - cox. But it's always nice to have a taste of home.
This looks really special on black. Wonderful light! Yes, fresh fruit all year is a real blessing. My mom told us how Oranges in the stocking at Christmas were such a special treat when she was growing up in the 20s and 30s — and she grew up middle class in the US, so how much more of a luxury it would be for many others.
@mcsiegle Yes, I remember getting oranges and nuts in my stocking. I always wondered why since I put it in the refrigerator rather than eat it right then.
