The title is what my daughters and wife and sister (and probably brother-in-law) will say when they see this post. Obviously, that requires explanation.
No beach or pool time today. This morning we dropped off my brother’s daughter at the airport in Jacksonville (AOJ), had brunch in Jacksonville with a friend of Jenny’s who is married to a Marine stationed at Lejeune and then drove down to Wilmington to see another niece and her husband of 15 months.
Grace & I left Clare & Jenny to shop downtown and crossed the Cape Fear Memorial Bridge to tour the World War II battleship, USS North Carolina. This was my second time but Grace’s first. (She had wanted to see the New Jersey when we were in Philadelphia earlier this year, but time and transportation didn’t allow it, so this was a goal for our side trip to Wilmington.)
I may have taken a *few* frames in 3 hours aboard the ship, and I even had 365 in mind for some of them, but I didn’t like any of them as much as I liked this image when I zoomed in to 100%.
This was taken outside the Cotton Exchange in downtown Wilmington before meeting Megan & Allen for a delicious dinner on the waterfront and then homemade key lime pie for dessert back at their apartment in Leland.
