In the shade of an old, oak tree

With a sore throat and generally feeling lousy, I shot only 3 subjects and 15 frames today. Though I don’t know what this “stalk” will be, I thought it looked interesting against the tree trunk. This didn’t turn out very well, but sadly it’s the best of the sad-sack lot of 15 images of the day. Hopefully it’s balanced by my other upload today, http://365project.org/rhoing/365/2011-07-11
