Bird of paradise [SOOC] by rhoing

Bird of paradise [SOOC]

First day of final exams, but it’s my first day having no surviving parents and that’s what’s left me a bit “on edge”, a bit in a “funk” and a bit “out of sorts”…

I have been trying to photograph one of these Strelitzia reginae flowers (family Strelitziaceae) in the greenhouse and it’s been a bit difficult until I realized that it’s not necessarily, or always, the entire structure or “look” of an entire bloom, so I’ve gotten a bit closer in this shot.

It is a strange kind of feeling Thom, and it does take a while to really settle in. The flower is really nice with its mix of colors
