It’s been at least a couple weeks, but I think Karen described this as a very traditional orchid from times past, with different flowers coming to more regular use now. I like this image because some of the “fluttery,” purple fringe is brightly highlighted. I guess it reminds me somewhat of the fringe of a jellyfish. [SOOC]

Beautiful. To me, traditional Easer Lillies are mainly white, not this vivid purple.

@frankhymus Quite true, Frank. It's not a lily after all; it's an orchid! I have learned much about plants-and-flowers, but there are so many that I will always have much more to learn!
