Little Wood-Satyr by rhoing

Little Wood-Satyr

Out at the lake again, the butterflies are returning to the recently-mowed grassy areas around the parking lot and today I saw a brushfooted butterfly (family, Nymphalidae; subfamily, Satyrinae) I hadn’t seen before! (This is the same “family” as the Variegated Fritillary from two days ago, though the “subfamilies” are different.)

Confirmed at BAMONA as Megisto cymela or “Little Wood-Satyr”; http://www.butterfliesandmoths.org/sighting_details/902086
