I found Cousin Itt!

In the greenhouse! Sans derby hat and sunglasses, of course!
I'm pretty sure this is a Cephalocereus senilis, or “Old Man Cactus” (family Cactaceae). No, I’m not going to remove that stray leaf on the left. Like many cacti, this, too, has sharp spines, so don’t be fooled by the soft “hair”!

Call me a wimp, but this may be one of my last sojourns into the greenhouse. The temperature is often well over 100°F now and pretty humid. Besides, the outdoor garden is beginning to get 6-legged visitors!
