Christmas tree skirt by rhoing

Christmas tree skirt

Our tree is up. Lights are strung. Red and gold bead-garland is strung. There are even a few presents already under the tree. We are waiting for Grace’s arrival Friday to hang the ornaments with our dear friends Raymond & Jeanne. But with the recent first-anniversary of my dad’s death, I have been thinking about my parents. This tree skirt was “hand-crafted” by my mom, so it must be nearly a quarter-century old…

I have gone to Clare’s exercise classes this week — RIPPED (Resistance, Intervals, Power, Plyometrics and EnDurance) yesterday and “Arms & Abs” today — and I thought I might post a photo I made of the announcement board listing all the equipment we’d need from the supply room, but the tree skirt with a few early presents under the tree presented itself.

Tomorrow is “Butts & Guts”…

Appropriately, a year ago my post was “Dad’s ‘concept cars’”: http://365project.org/rhoing/365/2012-12-17

The first holiday is the hardest, at least it was for us. Holidays always held such great memories. the workouts sound torturous
