…is the price of their toys.” Santa brought me a GoPro this year! I had a shot of this with my new Gorilla Pod for Christmas day — the Hero3 in its very substantial case — but that post was trumped by Mystery Moose, http://365project.org/rhoing/365/2013-12-25
I had to read the directions to figure out how to get it out of the case, so one purpose of this shot was to show that I had solved the puzzle of how to get at the camera itself!
The other purpose of this shot was to show how small the actual is. As you can see, it’s about 2½ × 2 US quarter dollars!
(Actual dimensions: 2.4 × 1.6 × 1.2". Since a US quarter dollar is 0.955", the Hero3 is 2.51 × 1.7 US quarter dollars!)
I have charged a battery, but I do not own a microSD card, so I have had to order one. Of course it’s not as though I’m going to be rowing on the lake tomorrow given the current and forecasted cold weather. :-(

I always carry a little camera in my jacket pocket.. I found my DX was heavy to lump around.. Though I now use both and often, as course, carry both :) It is great to have something small when it is not suitable for the larger cameras.. That looks amazingly tiny :)
@michelleyoung Since you use the system we *should* be using, this particular camera has dimensions 6×4×3cm. It *is* small! Easy to go missing, I suspect! It probably could get lost in a large pocket, purse or bag! Anxiously awaiting the memory card!
