“Spilosoma virginica” by rhoing

“Spilosoma virginica”

Common name “Virginian Tiger Moth” or “Yellow Woolybear Moth” (because of the caterpillar). Taken with my point-and-shoot (on a brick) on the side of our house.
[Something’s wrong with my 60mm macro lens at the moment. It won’t auto-focus. :-\ ]

ID’ed at BAMONA as “Spilosoma virginica” or “Virginian Tiger Moth”; http://www.butterfliesandmoths.org/sighting_details/1004547
