Sedum burrito (Burro’s tail sedum)

There seems to be a potential issue with the classification of this succulent. Some seem to classify “Sedum burrito” as a subspecies of “Sedum morganianum,” but
• PhytoImages, http://phytoimages.siu.edu/cgi-bin/dol/dol_terminal.pl?taxon_name=Sedum_burito&rank=binomial and
• The Plant List, http://www.theplantlist.org/tpl1.1/record/tro-8900095
classify it as a species unto itself.

A similar photo I shot at the Greenhouse is posted at PhytoImages — http://phytoimages.siu.edu/imgs/paraman1/r/Crassulaceae_Sedum_burito_94127.html — with the description “Leaves and scars on stem.”
