Cabbage White (female)

I have found it relatively easy to photograph this species from the side and catch the under-side of their wings, but it's been nigh on impossible for me to photograph the upper wing surfaces. This is the only one I was able to get, but it turned out well enough!

Confirmed at BAMONA as “Pieris rapae” or “Cabbage White”; http://www.butterfliesandmoths.org/sighting_details/1062602

Two years ago I posted a photo of a '57 Chevy the weekend before a huge vintage auto gathering near Detroit. I wrote, “Maybe after I retire, Clare & I can visit Mom the weekend of the Dream Cruise!” Well, now I'm retired … but Clare's Mom has moved, so there's no "draw" for other members of the family to gather there.
