Today we had a tour of the Indiana State Capitol. This is looking up at its stained glass dome (within a dome within a dome). From an Indiana government self-guided tour, http://www.in.gov/idoa/files/WebPageSelfGuide6.pdf » “the stained glass dome … is 72 feet in diameter and supported by eight granite columns. The dome begins ninety feet above the main floor, and rises to 105 feet above the floor of the rotunda.”
After our Capitol tour—
• Lunch at City Market…
• Walked the Skywalk…
• Walked along the Central Canal…
• Stumbled upon Indy Reads Books at the end of Mass Ave. http://indyreadsbooks.org/
• Went to Fountain Square
• Sampled some craft meads at New Day Craft Mead & Cider, http://newdaycraft.com/
It was a hot day, but a good day in a clean & friendly city.
