Yesterday I ran into Roland's PA at the bank. (She gave me the cortisone injection that enabled me to go on our recent trip to Europe pain-free.) She asked how my shoulder was doing. To be honest, I said, it was bothering me again. Perhaps the *strained* rotator cuff had turned into a *torn* rotator cuff? She suggested that I call the office and make another appointment.
Fortunately I was able to make an appointment for today because this morning's pain rivaled that of a large kidney stone I had a few years ago.
It seems the current issue is not rotator cuff at all, but possibly a disc and pinched nerve issue. Sigh. I made this photo as I was leaving, carrying several prescriptions and an appointment for physical therapy on Friday…
About the caption? Tuesday is the day Roland and his PA have clinic in Carbondale. (The rest of the week they are at the hospital or in the surgical center that's a 25–30 minute drive for Clare and me. See http://365project.org/rhoing/365/2012-10-13 — for example.) I joked to his office manager as I was leaving that it seems I need to keep Tuesdays “open” on my calendar. She chuckled. I am off to the pharmacy—
