It's for erosion control!

This is just across the narrow bay from the docks and boat ramp. They're putting down black landscaping sheets and covering with rocks! Yesterday they surveyed past projects around the lake and found them to be successful so here's the first current site to receive the treatment.

My new lens arrived today (Canon EF-S 17–55mm f/2.8 IS USM)!
