Christmas Eve dinner by rhoing

Christmas Eve dinner

For the first time in more than 25 years, we did not spend Christmas Eve with our dear friends Raymond and Jeanne. Many years ago, Raymond said, We'll know the girls are grown-up if they don't make it back for Christmas Eve. We had both girls and their "guys" home with us *last* year, so this year was the year *neither* girl made it home for Christmas Eve. So at the girls' invitation, this year we journeyed to Boston.

Not wanting us to miss Raymond's wonderful Christmas Eve dinner, son-in-law Steve prepared a wonderful meal that started with a roasted red pepper soup, continued with this plate of broccoli, cheese potatoes and beef tenderloin — paired with a nice cab — and finished with a couple of homemade pies. Mmmm! Well done, Steve!
