Old and new [Filler]

From two [different] Phoenix-area hotels. In the top image, note the dents from the door being propped open.The lower image has a device I had never seen before. The plate that's somewhat parallel to the door is on a pin so it pivots … and the door can't be propped open. Installation only requires two screws, not four, and nothing has to be attached to the door. Clever.

Just spent a few days in an extended stay hotel where it seemed a number of guests were "long term". Several had their doors propped open. I'd never seen that, except when I traveled with the high school debate team.
