After watching the cheftestants on “Top Chef” cut through huge chunks of meat as if they were sticks of butter over the last few months, I asked my serious cook-son-in-law about knife sharpeners. This was $6.50 online and what a difference a sharp knife makes! It even makes a more impressive sound when sliding through raw vegetables.
