Cool relief

This is the Polar Care Cube Cold Therapy System for the shoulder. The blue hose connects to a pump in ice water and water circulates through all the circular “bubbles” in a network on this pad. It was essential for Clare to get through the post-surgery period before the pain abated… Rather ingenious in design. This is the device she’s wearing in an earlier post.

How neat! I still use an ice pack and my tens unit - much better for me than pain killers.

@marlboromaam We are becoming a medical supply outlet. I think I may still have a TENS unit somewhere (“transcutaneous electrical nerve stimulation”). We have this Polar Care Cube. This morning we are just back from the first follow-up to last Tuesday's foot surgery, so Clare is now in a walking boot. We have *several* post-op shoes and a pair of crutches. Oh, and last week I put a grab bar in our shower. My feeling is that SSA should just send out grab bars with the Medicare card!

@rhoing LOL! Grab bars and walk-in tubs! Hope Clare is on the mend.
