Snowberry Clearwing (moth) by rhoing

Snowberry Clearwing (moth)

I think they look like flying shrimp.

What I find somewhat notable about them is that they fly during the day. Most moths I “notice” are during dusk-to-dawn.

Not a great photo. I couldn’t get close enough for a sharp focus when cropped; it was a 3-frame day…

We have several Clearwing moths, but not this one. A difficult capture, the little sos and sos are FAST!

I took it first for a bee than questioned the unusual wings. Great capture.
