This image shows the relationship between the inner and outer operculum (cap) of the Eucalypt bud. I'm sorry to have uploaded so many of these - but I found it fascinating that the two layers were so easily seen. I had never noticed this before...
@koalagardens Thanks so much Katrina - it's been suprising what the camera can actually do. This setting is in the same spot as the other one - but it just tones everything down. Much less stressful than the other max version! :)
Not surprizingly, your neutral setting seems to be the right choice for creating a realistic picture. However, the all max setting makes original creations that emphasize colours and energy, so it is all a matter of subject. Thanks for sharing your experiments, we all learn something from them.
@lastrami - Thanks for your lovely comment Kerstin - I'm glad you liked it as it's the first time I've thought to use the black oven top and its light! It seems to work well. :)
@etienne I do appreciate your comment Etienne - all the things that I know nothing about would fill a suitcase - so it seems a never ending curve of stuff to try and see what happens. It's nice to know it's not all too boring for all of you. Many thanks for your encouragement. :)
ok..I .have the same camera..now I have to figure out where these setting are. This has beautiful comp and lighting ...really like how the background tones work.
@granagringa Fancy you having the same camera. It's been fun to try all the different settings - this series was using the Program option and trying the various My Colours option - second from the top of the menu. I found it interesting using some of these with the spot metering option at the top of the P menu. They are such good little cameras. :)
