We're just heading home - milking time.

Twice a day - this farmer has to move his cows along this road - good thing life moves more slowly in Tassie.
So cattle dogs have been replaced by pick ups and quad bikes? What a pity, how times change.

@fbailey I'm afraid you're right FB - we've seen this 3 times times now - and not a dog in sight! Mind you - these are dairy cows - very docile.

This happened to me once (just once!) in my former state of residence. But the dairy cows were only crossing the street from one side to the other and only people were involved in the herding. Fun shot!

@olivetreeann Hi Ann-they went a fair way down the road - that black one kept trying to make a break for it - quite funny to watch but the farmer was not amused! Cheers

Ha! This was a common occurrence every day, twice a day, where I grew up in Northern Ireland. Don't see much of it in Hertfordshire,England.

@woofandweft1 Hi Deborah - there seem to be lots of dairy farms down here - with roads to cross between their paddocks and their milking shed. And it's so green - looks a bit like Ireland actually!! Dare I say that at the moment the weather is a bit like Ireland too!!?? LOL
