This is a special daigram which represents the view of Wilpena Pound as seen from the air. However, it is more than that - it is also a representation of the history associated with the site - as known by its traditional owners: there was a meeting of people from far and wide - 2 serpents came down and ate all of the people - they were so full they could not leave - they died on the site and their huge bodies formed the Pound as known today....
