Brisbane is sometimes called The River City. It sprawls along its river for approximately 50 km. Much of this can be reached via the City Cat Ferries. Hopping from suburb to suburb to have a wander in each one makes for a great day out.
Ah Brisbane.. The memories. 😂 I stayed with a friend who used to live in an apartment right on the river and it was absolutely gorgeous sitting on the balcony sipping wine watching the sun set and rise....
It is a very pleasant and coherent architectural ensemble. Moreover, the river provides an horizontal dimension to the scene, that breaks the repetitive verticality. And of course, the red boat attracts the eye in this dominant blue world.
@ulla Hi Ulrika - It's continually changing too - so many new places to visit and eat and drink. And the council has extended the river walkway in so many areas. It's very livable! Thanks for your comment and I'm glad it brought back memories. :)
@etienne Thanks for your responses Etienne - they are always so well considered and helpful. I do appreciate them and reading them often makes me appreciate why a certain image "worked" Often for me it's just a gut feeling! Cheers Rob
@onewing Hi Babs - thanks so much for your link. I would love to be able to make a "little planet" but unfortunately I don't use Photoshop. Usually I can adapt procedures to my program but in this case i can't. Mine has no capability to do Polar Co-ordinates. If you have the time or inclination please feel free to have a go with this to see if it does produce a pleasing planet. Many thanks and cheers Rob
