I walked outside the back door this morning and saw this geranium which had recently been rained on and I thought it looked pretty. I had to go to the Nurse Practitioner because I got a thorn in my finger 12 days ago (my trigger finger!) and it's really sore and swollen. Anyway, she sent me to A/E who then xrayed it and got me seen by an Orthopaedic Consultant. He then sent me for a scan and they still couldn't find it but I'm sure it's still there. Anyway, he says I've got an abscess anyway which needs draining and was talking about either a local or general anaesthetic! After debating with a colleague he decided to send me home for the weekend with some strong antibiotics and I've got to go back on Monday to see if it has improved. If not, he will drain in under some sort of anaesthetic but I'm not sure which yet. Oh the joys of gardening!
@yrhenwr@busylady@nadaa Thanks for your kind comments and concerns about my finger. Unfortunately, despite antibiotics, it's still as bad so I expect they will drain it tomorrow. I'm not looking forward to that!
