I have been out with my camera today but I had to make a very quick exit from the world outside when it decided to pour with rain! I was halfway to the lock when I decided to turn back and I'm glad I did because I didn't have my camera bag with me and had to shield my camera inside my coat. Well the most important thing was protecting my camera. I didn't care about me because I won't shrink!
Anyway, I did get some nice shots of ducks at Danish Camp but I wanted to post this one from RSPB the other day as I really liked this close up shot and I didn't get to post it. The pheasant up there is really tame and even when the man came to fill the feeders, he didn't run away and stayed to eat the food that he had put on the ground. Usually pheasants are scared and run away but this fellow knows when he's well off!
I didn't do particularly well at Camera Club last night, 2 x 16 and a 17. I'm not really bothered because my photos are more or less as they come out of the camera and I don't do photoshop on them which is what the judges seem to like. The winner of the Architects Trophy didn't actually contain any architecture! Strange really as the theme was architecture for the people!
Thanks for all your kind comments and Favs and for getting all 3 of yesterday's images on PP. You really are most kind.
Beautiful details in the pheasant! sometimes the same image will get rave reviews from another juror,so do not be discouraged by one opinion. keep on keeping on!
I've had similar experiences at photo club, the judges scores and comments seem very random :)
