Frightened little blackbird by rosiekind

Frightened little blackbird

This poor young blackbird flew into the window of the conservatory while we were eating our breakfast this morning and she landed on the floor. Steve picked her up and put her on top of the covered boat that stands on the patio where she sat looking very frightened little bird. We gave her a little stroke and left her there to recover. When I looked out about half an hour later, she had gone so she should be alright. She was just stunned and frightened poor thing.
I reckon! You are very kind!

Such pretty shades of brown not colours you usually associate with a blackbird.

Poor little bird!! One flew into our lounge last year but sadly Finlay was too quick for me and he caught it. I got it away from him and there was no marks on him but he died of shock.

We have a chaffinch done the same thing here this evening. I have just checked and she seems to have gone. You had a good opportunity toget close up and catch all that detail on the feathers. Glad she survived.

Lovely capture and fortunate that she didn't hurt herself too much.
