Unidentified plant

Does anyone know what this plant is? The birds set it some time ago and I trimmed it back as it was taking over the vegetable plot but it has grown back very strongly. I wondered whether it was love lies bleeding
Rosie, it's not love lies bleeding. I have forgotten the name but will try to locate it in my brain! Got it - leycesteria.

I see Beryl has identified it. A lovely shot. I saw it at Woburn yesterday, for the first time, a coincidence that you have posted a shot of it.
