This is a faded orchid bloom which had fallen off and I found it on the kitchen windowsill. We have 13 orchids growing in the bay window above the sink and I have usually got some flowering. However, at the moment they all seem to be coming to an end which is a shame but I am sure that if I look carefully I will see some new shoots coming which will develop into beautiful flowers.
I would really like to get a macro lens and my tripod is rubbish as you can't get it to stay exactly where you want it to. Perhaps that is something I should put on my Christmas list.
