CHADWICK LAKES (10) – Birds

A White Wagtail – correct me if I’m wrong – looks for his partner on the walkway. Who knows, perhaps, she (or he) went for a walk like we did.
Today Malta celebrates the feast of St Paul’s shipwreck on its soil. It is a public holiday and the parish dedicated to this occasion in Valletta celebrates the feast with great pomp. Unfortunately the weather has not been lenient with us these last days with cold, wind and rain and has affected the outdoor festivities. I have been to Valletta this morning and also a few days to capture some of the decorations and will be posting them very soon.

I've never seen a bird like that. It is amazing how different the wildlife is from one part of the world to another. Nice capture.

lovely capture - those wagtails never stop moving so a real challenge - apparently (I've been reading the bird book - the difference between the Pied Wagtail in the UK and the White Wagtail further south is the markings - more black on the pied)
