Having finished taking shots of the catamaran entering harbour I took the ring road around Valletta and on the opposite side of Valletta there is Marsamxett harbour which is today used to harbour yachts. On this side the savagery of the stormy water was more evident. The yachting berths - and there are hundreds or even thousands of them - are much further inside the bay where they are sheltered from the rough seas that hit the coast.
The two top pictures are from the Valletta fortification walls towards Qui-si-Sana, Sliema. The bottom two are of this side of Valletta. The radio was sending warnings to those who had their cars parked below the city walls to remove them because of danger of them getting carried away by the sea. I didn’t hear of any serious accidents later in the day.
Thank you so much for looking and for the comments and fav’s on yesterday’s picture.
