Short break from my Rome experience.
Four more shots from the Malta Marathon 2020.
Pictures on the left are some of the runners. They were coming in sometimes in very small and sometimes in larger groups.
Bottom right is my nephew, Keith, who was so excited and happy to have taken part in the half marathon – his aim was to finish the race and he succeeded. Keith started running only a couple of years ago, he is around 40 years old and his ambition was to complete the race. I had been waiting for him to pass by but when he did he found me unprepared and I just clicked the camera without focusing and got this blurred shot.
Bottom left made me very sad and worried for the health of this youngster. He had a top with Germany printed on it so I thought he came from that country. I surmised that he succumbed to the strong sunshine. When I saw him there, not moving, I stopped and watched medics coming and going for about 20 minutes and he hardly moved till I left. In the evening I checked the sports news and coverage of the race did not mention any casualty so I was happy to deduce that he was ok.
Thank you very much for your views, comments and fav's.
