This is another tulip from the bunch - this time the orange ones for the next day on the rainbow challenge. The orange and yellow have survived with one of the reds, so I should be able to go on for the yellow and hopefully the green over the next few days, and actually take the shot on the day (I did mean to photograph this colour again but I ran out of time around the dressmaking and chores). One of my aims this week is to fill the frame - and I'm not sure that's the best treatment for this tulip. Ah well, it gives me an idea for the last week of the challenge.
Really wet and stormy, we both got drenched when we went out to sort out things at the GP for my daughter, not so much when I went back out to get replacement bread for my daughter as putting butter in the banana bread was a mistake (she's dairy intolerant).
Three good things (I was falling asleep as I put this up last night)
1. I have a shirt that fits - almost - it needs buttons and button holes and the handstitching finishing off in a couple of places, but it's done (alterations throughout and another alternation still to make on the pattern before I try again);
2. my daughter has a patchwork quilt to go on her bed - it needs edging but it's otherwise finished;
3. the left over smoked haddock in the fridge worked well with spinach to make a creamy mix to serve with rice for lunch (creamy with soya milk).
Thank you for looking and your faves and comments, you're all wonderful. I prefer to spend time looking at your pictures rather than thanking you individually below.
Well done!
