This is the Sam Wanamaker Theatre, the candlelit recreation of a Jacobean theatre at the Globe Theatre, set up for Edward II where I went for this afternoon's matinee with my daughter. Sadly she was fading fast by the interval so we didn't manage to see the full play. @HumphreyHippo had another view last month for a different play here
Three good things:
1. actually getting my daughter out to London to see a play, even if we didn't see all of it
2. she coped on the tube without a full face mask
3. she scored a pair of trousers that look to be the right size and style for £5.49 from M&S, which will make a good pattern if they fit.
Thank you for looking and all your amazing comments and favs. You're all superstars. I prefer to look at and comment on your pictures rather than thank you individually below.
@humphreyhippo I've seen a lot in that theatre - from acoustic folk to poetry, Isango's Mystery Play, Passion in Practice performing in original pronunciation, other Tudor playwrights, the Handel and Tallis plays and Dominic Dromgoole's final season when he produced Shakespeare's last plays.
