magpies

Composite of two of the magenpie family that have been entrancing me on the fence. I have missed so many shots of them together on this fence, with the four fledglings at the same as size as their parents, fluttering their wings beguilingly and shouting for food. But they move so fast

Sorry to be filling feeds with a mad catch up. The miserable weather had me doing other things so although I took the pictures on the brief forays outside, I didn't get around to processing them or putting them up.

Three good things:

1. my daughter's first attempt at a new shirt more or less fits (as a tunic, without buttons, over a vest), which is so much better than previous attempts. We bought her new fabric
2. We did manage brief forays out between showers without getting wet - which this week was a plus
3. Scored some gluten free coffee and walnut cake at reduced price.

Thank you for looking and your amazing support. I prefer to look at your pictures rather than thank you individually below.
you've captured the colours well. I thought magpies were black!

I love how you fitted those together. Very nice how you got front and back. Even the light and colors work well.

Great capture of these two beauties!

I didn't notice the composite at first glance. But two for joy is certainly better than one for sorrow. @summerfield - …. and, five for silver, six for gold, seven for a secret never to be told.

Great composite work! It looks like the neighbor-women are having a conversation over the fence!
