Green #4

I took this last month when the freesia were just buds. In the garden now, these plants are a shocking pink.
Nice shot

Hi Debbie - I'll be so interested to see these flowers. We bought some freesia bulbs at a car boot sale - but have no idea what a freesia looks like.. :)

@robz Here you go. I posted two photos in one of my extra albums, one of a bouquet and one more closeup. I wish I could send the beautiful delicate scent they have. I put the on the 23rd and 24th dates. https://365project.org/shutterbug49/52wc/2022-03-23

Wow - thanks Debbie - they look just beautiful. I really hope ours survive our ignorance about how to care for them. They have just started to poke up out of the ground - very exciting. Thanks for going to the bother of sending this to me. Cheers Rob

I love how vibrant the leaves are- and thanks for posting the picture showing how they bloomed.

@robz You should love them. After they bloom, just let them die back. Sometimes we put some of the little (pea sized) bulbs in the refrigerator until spring, but many just spring back where they were. Very little care seems to work best with them.

@shutterbug49 Hmmm - now that's a worry - our bulbs we bought at the carboot sale were labelled as freesias - but they're about as big as an onion! I wonder what we've bought? ..Could be interesting - I'll let you know if we ever get any flowers. Thanks again for all of your info. Cheers Rob
