We like it and the best part is that the neighbors like it. When it fills in the purple creeping verbena, the purple society garlic, the golden daylilies, the red carpet roses, and the maroon colored barberry should all add nice color and it won’t look mostly like bark.
It will be perfect Debbie, almost all our gardens had to go in this direction! I have a lot of what we call Wild garlic, which is gorgeous and grows like weeds. I just wish that tree would be straight. At least we know where your wind comes from ;-)
@ludwigsdiana We used to stake it, but the wind would come through and break the 4 inch diameter stakes and leave the wind side stake lying on top of the tree. So we quit trying to stake.
