this is a very short tunnel about four blocks southwest of my apartment building by the big park. the length is about the width of two railway tracks which are above it. i've actually photographed it quite a few times but from a distance. since i have no other ideas for this urban exploration photography, this became my 'go to' shot.
i admit i was reluctant to get near this tunnel. but seeing respectable looking people and families go through, i thought i would 'cross' to the other side. mind you, it wasn't painful at all. as i said, it was a short walk, there was even a train that passed whilst i was in there taking shots. and there was no foul smell. this shot is from the other side.
people were quite nice. at first i wasn't aware that they were waiting for me to finish shooting before they pass through, they were quite apologetic. but i warned them that i might take a picture with them in it just to give the photo some human perspective and they were quite alright with the idea. this here is of a young couple with two large dogs that were afraid of me (tee-hee!).
the back is still not good, it's improving though. thank you for your concern.
@olivetreeann - thank you, ann. this business of getting old is not to my liking, i tell you. :-) and i'm always forgetting that i shouldn't just stretch up or bend down. even have a hard time putting on my socks, it sucks! the manufacturer's defects, i suppose, are coming to the fore as i age.
see! people are more worried about ruining your shot than on being in it! excellent urban ex shot! so sorry about your back... hope you're much better by now
