fugue by summerfield

fugue

for the mad minute word friday's challenge. the dictionary defines fugue [ˈfyüg] in music as

a musical composition in which one or two themes are repeated or imitated by successively entering voices and contrapuntally developed in a continuous interweaving of the voice parts

or

something that resembles a fugue especially in interweaving repetitive elements

it can be used as a noun or a verb.

etsooi'd to death, it is what it is. but that's what happens when you've got the idea and not a whole lot of means to execute it.

my 'may flowers' posting is here: http://365project.org/summerfield/365-again/2013-05-05
I admire you for being able to get in a "Mad Minute" at all! I tried it once...with the emphasis on "tried'...By the time I got the shot, and then got a moment I was not too busy or half dead to post it, the minute had passed. Haha! This is a perfume bottle parade? I think you did a cool job with the ETSOOI! It is very interesting and not sure how in the world you did it!

Don't understand what "mad minute" is (much of my life is a mystery to me!) but still appreciate a very clever piece of work, wonderfully executed. I always love the "quirky". fav.

You've created a very imaginative and creative image, almost abstract... I like the b & w.....

@espyetta - thank you, MB. what i do is i read the definition and zero in on a key word, in this instance the words 'repeated', 'imitated' and 'continuous'. the image that came to mind instantly was a bathroom in a hotel in niagara where the sink is on one side and the door on the opposite site, the door has a full length mirror so when you look either at the door or at the mirror you see an endless reflection of you doing things like brushing your teeth, brushing your hair, while you're....okay, you get the idea, right? hahaha! but alas! my bathroom here only has one mirror and i don't have any other mirror around. but i do have these pair of craft mirrors that i propped with modeling clay then i had to figure out how to shoot the bloody images without me and the camera getting in the reflection. which was not possible, hence the etsooi. cloned me out, cloned the camera out, then applied silver screen in ribbet about six million times until i couldn't recognize even the perfume bottle so i had to stop at five million. tee-hee! fuguist in its purest form, methinks! and i think my reply to you is longer than my caption. hahaha! you and me, when we get together we need a tape recorder!

@claireuk - thank you, my friend claire. i think you should read my reply to mary beth above. or probably not. hehehe!

@henrir - thank you, henri. sometimes i do have some brilliant moments, most of the time the mind's in the gutter though. :-)

Haha! We are chatty! Thanks for the explanation. I have tried to use silver screen just once (haha) but have it found a good photo for it.
