i don't know why there's two of me, maybe because last night i dreamed about the week in high school where i pretended i had a twin and my twin attended school for me. i studied so bloody hard so that i'd be doubly smart than the "other" me. i pretended i didn't know anyone. i put a little mole using eyeliner on my right chin. i acted more "lady-like" rather than being so tomboyish but that backfired because the damn boys actually started talking nicely to me, especially those who pestered the girls and whom i would always fight with. that quickly made the novelty of having a twin wore off. i told them the week after that she was shipped back to the convent where she was actually being raised by nuns. most believed it, not my teachers though - they gave me more assignments than the other kids in my class. tarnation!
for the 5+2's theme 'in the jungle'. downtown Toronto can at times become an urban jungle, especially when the weather is nice and people can go outside and play.

I think your imagination overexcelled mine! I was always organising sisters and relations into situations whether they agreed to or not! Weddings, cave dwelling, cruises... You name it! Your parents must have dispaired of you, Vikki! Keep it up!
@maggiemae - cave dwellings???? that would've been so awesome, but I just won't go. i've had enough of bats and snakes where we lived when i was young. when i was seven we moved to a place that used to be a farm and our house was actually built on the edge that used to be a forest. there were bamboo patches that were rife of deadly snakes and vampire bats. try going to the outhouse in the dead of night. but i still managed to play pranks on the neighbours. hmmm...that's probably why i always ended up with my father's belt. i got to think more of those days. there's a lot of potential stories! thank you, maggiemae.
@cathrinemitch - thank you, cathy. i hope you've nicely recovered from that sojourn yesterday.
@gozoinklings - i got to learn more on this processing crap. i wanted my pic to be blah to blend better with the pic. but my thinking cap was blown away in the wind so didn't figure out that i needed to boost the colours of the larger pic. head mistress? wow! i have another story about that. thank you, CP.
@alia_801 - sometimes i do wish that, too. but then i talk to me and right away i get voted down. some of me don't want the world to know we're crazy! :-D thank you, alia.
@deburahiru - why, thank you, my good lady. the good thing is i still know which is reality.... or do i?...
very inspired and nicely done for the theme... you really do blend in quite well you know! well you do, and you don't... you DO look like you were in the scene.. but you don't look like you fit in with the rest of the folks hanging about.. which gives this image a cool "aliens among us" feel!
ha ha - wonder what kind of life your twin is leading now - after a life at the convent she could either be a gogo dancer or a missionary - you can always bring her back as a permanent alter ego - i think your standing out make this picture - gives it a sort of Matrix feel when they walk among the plugged in people!
great entry, I agree with above about seeming a bit like the matrix, I was fully expecting to see more of you in the crowd
wow you really went all out with your childhood fantasies, coolness
I love your stories! This one tops your "best of all stories" list up there very high! You are so crazy. Was this a dream or did you really act like a twin you for a while? How did you do this shot..just PS yourself in there twice. I love it!
@northy - story of my life, never fit in with anything or anyone. i do but i don't. :-) or perhaps i really am an alien. hmmm...interesting, ain't it? thank you, kiddo.
@gozoinklings - methinks she became a go-go dancer in japan after her failed marriage to a former priest whom she seduced then left her for a younger woman. i never liked her though, my twin. but when i was in grade school, we were triplets and i kind of like the third me. :-) thank you, CP.
@kali66 - thank you, kali. i actually made a copy with me everywhere in the pic but it was such overkill it didn't look good.
@claireuk - eh, trouble troubles me, i trouble trouble! :-) thank you, my friend claire.
@espyetta - i did do that in high school and i remembered it the other night after i dreamed about it. there was a girl who lived near me and who sat beside me in class. she was so pissed that i wouldn't talk to her and pretending i didn't know her name. she asked my mother but my mother thought the girl was joking and she rode along without asking me. my mother was actually quite happy because i would go to school wearing coloured ribbons in my pony tails and i was behaving as "proper girls" are supposed to behave. my parents were worried that i was turning into a real tomboy and they thought i was changing my ways. my father soured on the idea when two boys showed up at our front door to visit (i.e. woo) me. i did this shot with overlay on ribbet.com, yes, twice. thank you, MB.
@amandal - thank you, amanda. i did the selfie at home wednesday. shot the street scene on Friday at lunch. overlay in ribbet.com.
also @jsw0109 jeff, this is downtown Toronto. i could've done my selfie in there with tripod and all. nobody's going to take the camera, i don't think. people would've just snickered seeing an old woman trying to take a self-portrait in public. but then, i wouldn't do it, my co-workers are sometimes all over the downtown area and they might see me! hehehe!
Btw I had a good look to make sure there was only two of you!
@denisedaly - tee-hee! thank you, denise.
@cathrinemitch - thank you, cathy. i hope you've nicely recovered from that sojourn yesterday.

@salza - oh, i made sure there were only two. i can't handle one of me, no one can handle more than one headache! the necklace is here http://365project.org/summerfield/365-again/2012-10-19 and http://365project.org/summerfield/365-again/2013-03-19 thank you, sally.
