toronto in the deep freeze by summerfield

toronto in the deep freeze

after the 36-hour relief from the cold we had last week we are once again in the deep freeze. and this dock has frozen solid. that big tanker on the top left - it's not gonna go anywhere for a few days unless the ice crasher comes. the ramps on the lower left is half submerged in ice; in the summer they are quite high off the water. downtown toronto is visible on the right.

thank you for your kind views and comments; they are greatly appreciated.
The Delaware was looking like this the other day- but since it was warmer yesterday, all the chunky ice has melted and there's only a thin coating on the surface today. I don't think I could stand another deep freeze but we are supposed to be getting some sort of "weather" tomorrow.

A wonderful view. I must admit I much prefer the experience of looking at your great shots over actually being there myself!
