get pushed #93 - anger

how do you express your anger?

do you yell? stomp your feet? pump your fist? throw something? break something?

what drives you angry?

when i get angry and i yell and talk, it's a good sign. but when i simply keep quiet and ignore you like you don't exist, that is not good.

well, there was that one time when i got really really mad and i punched the wall of my room and created a hole. not just once but twice! i was going to do it a third time, but i saw blood and i'm a suck at physical pain. then in my second job, as assistant to the marketing manager of a five-star hotel, we were tasked with attending cocktails with some of our guests. a group of japanese travel officials were visiting and this old man was bugging me, putting his arms around me and as the evening wore on, despite my best efforts to avoid him, he was just getting so annoyingly insistent with his advances. then at dinner, he sat beside me and put his hand inside my blouse from the back and tried to reach for my boobs. i stood up, took my glass of wine which had just been replenished by the waiter, and poured the wine on his head. he was wearing a light blue suit, i was drinking red wine. the man threatened to pull out all the groups booked at our hotel. my boss did everything to make my life hell at the office. then one day, in the middle of a really busy schedule, when reports were needed to be done right away, i stopped typing, i grabbed my purse, and walked out the door. i had a labour lawyer send the hotel a letter collecting my last paycheck and other benefits due me. my boss tried to stop the payment, but she got sick - suddenly had a mysterious boil between her eyes which didn't heal for quite a while. :-)

@francoise 's push is "a shot that captures anger." i couldn't find a boil to shoot so a double exposure it is for this one. the broken glass wall isn't mine, got it off the internet, but the photo of the fist is mine.

thank you for your kind visits and comments; know that they are truly appreciated.
Great job with the processing- it looks real!

Very cool shot and effect. Yes, you captured anger well. I used to work in marketing, too! Stressful! And my boss made me angry. Oh what an awful and unfair story. Sorry that happened to you!

Ooh, I suffered along with these stories! Laughed at the wine dowsing, nervous about you ex boss - were you sticking pins in a doll? Don't mess with Vikki! This is good editing - the glass cracks actually look as if a bullet had gone through!

Great job of processing! Glad you didn't get a bloody hand this time!

Fabulous processing. I love your narrative and how you dealt with the man harassing you. It's never pleasant when one is being harassed in the work place.

Great shot, meets the challenge spot on - well done on the wine over the mauler, best they deserve ;o)

I hate anger. It scares me especially my own. It can be uncontrollable and therefore dangerous. This depicts that side of anger brilliantly, great shot.
Red wine blue suit, hope he got the message

I love the story of the sleazy man, so glad you poured wine over him, hope his suit got ruined!! Some of my rude customers at work make me feel angry but not enough to punch them! The photo is a great example of anger, well done.

Love your stories- I can see them unfold. The photo is well done also.

Very cool processing on this one! Your story also makes me angry, but hey! karma seems to have gotten your boss back for being a biotch when her employee was pretty much being sexually harassed by a customer.

I'm glad I had good co-workers/managers when I worked at GameStop during college. They threatened customers and even kicked one out of the store when the guy couldn't get the hint that I wasn't interested, he was getting in the way of me doing my job, and he was creeping me out.

I think this meets the challenge very well. I think I'll stay out of your way!!! (or just not provoke you to anger) Still working on your challenge

great processing. Reminds me of the first time I visited my In-laws home and my husband pointed to a circle above a square dent in the living room wall, "That's where my big brother slammed me when we were playing football in the living room"

You did a great job expressing anger!

Yes, anger can be destructive.... I have learned, the hard way, that it hurts the ones that experience it the most, not necessarily the ones it is directed to.
