this structure is situated not far from toronto's casa loma castle on walmer road. two years ago when i started to do photo walks, those towers were just being built. thing is, i cannot find any information about this building. google says the structure on the left with the two turrets were supposed to be the former stables for casa loma. in any case, it needs investigation and i will find out what it is one of these days. it sure seems to compete with casa loma.
one thing that makes me wonder is how could anyone live in those turrets? are there any elevators there to transport people up and down? who would want to live in a place that big? i surely won't because i like to do my own cleaning and that humongous place would surely kill me and my vacuum cleaner!
for the one night stand challenge, today's challenge is 'architecture'.
thank you for your kind visits and comments; know that they are truly appreciated.
Holy moly! This IS a big place! Now, are you saying this whole thing is "new" and was built recently? Or just smaller parts/towers on it? It looks ancient! Nice j ob for ONS8. I screwed up and got the wrong assignment for today and posted "Signs." Embarrassing!
They definitely do dominate the scene! You would get very fit if you lived there and there isn't an elevator. I like how the brick pillars pull you into the shot
It's a very nice building, I love the colour, it looks like a fairy tail castle. I could imagine the tall towers having a spiral staircase, which I wouldn't like to climb!
What an odd structure to be "new". It doesn't even look like it matches to me. And yes, who in 2013-14 would want to build a tower with turrets and why? Maybe a knock on the door might reveal some interesting answers and perhaps an article for the local newspaper!
