my attempt at shaped bokeh tonight was a mega epic fail. i read everything i could on this shit and after the third fail, i just gave up. i was going to settle for the regular round shaped bokeh, but this last shot surprised me.
i have bruised knees, not to mention sore from kneeling on the wooden floor. i bumped on the wall and i probably will have a really bad black eye tomorrow (why the eff is that wall in there!!!) and some bruised ego thinking i've done it before ergo it's easy. why the first time i did a shaped bokeh, i didn't have any problem at all.
well, it's late and i've got to get to bed. maybe i'll have better luck tomorrow.
i'm doing a week of bokeh, if i don't end up in the loony bin before then.

Hahaha! At least you got some bokeh in the picture. I've not had luck with editing it in at all. If it's not there when I take the picture, I'm out of luck!
I have never tried shaped bokeh so I must commend your efforts! I can barely manage regular round bokeh. I look forward to seeing your other bokeh shots.
Don't quite know what to make of this, but I applaud your effort at getting shaped bokeh! I am surprised you are trying your hand at this now.....December just seemed to be the perfect bokeh month with all those little lights all over the place giving perfect bokeh....looking forward to seeing what you come up with. Are you doing the cutout in front of your lens with the little bokeh shape that you shoot through?
I have to confess I was more than chuckling at your very descriptive narrative. I was wondering if "shit" is a technical term. As to the placement of walls in your abode I can only assume that someone came in the middle of the night and hastily threw one up so as to confuse you! Otherwise you would have known it was there!

This is so not a fail. I would not, could not post my attempt at shaped bokeh. I verily suck at ti. I hope it's only your ego that's bruised my friend.
